Soy Lecithin:

Soy Lecithin is a vital, multifunctional, active substance used in manufacturing a variety of food products, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and animal feeds among other wide ranging applications. It is used for its wide functional, nutritional and therapeutic properties. Lecithin is used in foods as a viscosity modifier, dispersant, and lubricant. Typically, an emulsion is a suspension of small droplets of one liquid in another liquid with which it is incapable of mixing. Lecithin’s structure makes it an effective emulsifier for the interaction of water and oil. Lecithin’s ability to simultaneously interact with oil and water makes it an effective emulsifier.

Soy Lecithin manufactured by us is a complex mixture of acetone insoluble phosphatides, which consist mainly of phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), phosphatidylserine (PS) and phosphatidylinositol (PI), combined with various amounts of substances such as triglycerides, fatty acids, and carbohydrates as separated from the crude vegetable oil source. The word Lecithin is derived from the Greek term “lekithos” meaning egg yolk. Soy Lecithin produced by SOYA is made from fresh gums, during degumming of Soybean Oil obtained from fresh Soybean seeds. Our soy lecithin is Halal Certified.
